Corona casualties stay high Bangladesh counts 32 more deaths, 1436 infections

News Report Corona prevalence in Bangladesh still stays on a high plateau as the country counted 32 more daily deaths and 1,436 infections. Thirty-two people have died from Covid-19 in the country during the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), taking the toll now to 52,51. The death rate stands at 1.44 percent. A total of 1,436 new infections were recorded, in the meantime, taking the total number of people infected to 363,479, added the release. The current positivity rate is 10.71 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 18.66 percent. A total of 13,404 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 1,789 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.The total number of recoveries stands at 275,487 and the recovery rate at 75.79 percent. Among the 32 deceased, 24 were male and eight female while two were 31-40 years old, three between 41-50, three within 51- 60 and 24 were above 60 years old, added the release.
