Seven bombs recovered from M'singh 'militant den'

MYMENSINGH, Aug 28: Law enforcers on Monday recovered seven bombs and some bomb making materials from a house in Kashor area of Bhaluka upazila here where a suspected militant was killed in a bomb explosion on Sunday evening, reports UNB. Mamunur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Police Station, said a bomb disposal unit is working to dispose off the bombs. Police superintendent Md Nurul Islam said the slain militant, identified as Md Alam Pramanik of Telkupi area in Natore, was a member of suicide squad of militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). They were taking preparation to carry out sabotage, said the SP. Police also detained seven people, including house owner Azim Uddin and Parvin, wife of the slain militant, for interrogation. A bomb went off at the house around 6pm on Sunday while the 'militant' was making bombs. The deceased 'militant' along with his wife and a child rented the house only three days back identifying him as a garment worker, he said.
