Child safe internet edn programme launched

Our Correspondent NARSINGDI, Aug 28: BRAC, the non government organization and Grameen Phone jointly inaugurated the Child Safe Internet Education programme under the slogan of "Safe Internet for all" at Sayed Anwar Ali High school at Monohrdi upazila on Thursday. It is said that under the memorandum of understanding over 50000 student of 250 schools in the country. will give safe Internet education Motafizur Rahman Chairman of the managing committee of Anwar Ali High school presided over the function. Head Master of the high School Abul Kalam presented the well come speech. In the inaugural function B A Wahid Newton, Programme Manager (MIS & ICT),BRAC,Head office,Dhaka, Md.Rafiqul islam-Regional Manager-PACE,Sylhet, Sumaiya Sadia Raihan Lead Specialist, Grameen-phone,Dhaka, Jamila Akhter,Child. Protection Specialist, UNICEF, Dhaka gave briefing in-detail on the importance of ICT. They said in the age of Transformation & Globalization the student should have proper knowledge on ICT & English. They also said Teachers and guardians should take care their students children on the using of Internet. Sonia Ferdousai delivered the power point presentation on the safe Internet of children. About 300 students and teahers of the school were present in the function, Beside a numver of BRAC officers including Hosnahara Begum, Area manager, PACE Narsingdi were also present in function.
