Bangladesh records 28 deaths, 1848 cases in 24hrs

News Report: Corona death curve waved up again in Bangladesh as health officials said Saturday 28 more people died in 24 hours while infection rate also stayed high after little fall, prompting medics to suggest rapid antigen tests for effective combat. The United States has allowed rapid home antigen test to tackle an exigency stemming from a second wave of the pandemic virus SARS Cov-2 that causes the covid-19 disease. With the latest daily casualty the death toll from the virus rose to 6,350. The death rate hovered over 1.43 percent, same as days before, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). During the same period, 1,848 new cases were detected, bringing the total to 445,281. The rate of infection stood at 14.61. A total of 1,921 patients have recovered from the virus during the 24-hour period. The total number of recovery now stands at 360,352, which is 80.93 percent. Bangladesh reported first novel coronavirus cases on March 8 and death on March 18. Until now, 2,635,202 tests have been carried out, including 12,643 during the 24-hour period. Bangladesh is seeing 2614.59 infections, 2115.90 recoveries, and 37.29 deaths per million, reports say.
