Peace push could end Arab-Israeli conflict: Netanyahu Peace push could end Arab-Israeli conflict: Netanyahu Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
said Tuesday a new US-brokered peace drive
has the potential to end the Arab-Israeli
conflict for good, as he prepared to seal
a landmark accord normalizing ties with
the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
“This day is a pivot of history, it
heralds a new dawn of peace,” Netanyahu
told hundreds of attendees at a White
House signing ceremony.
“This peace will eventually expand to
include other Arab states. And ultimately,
it can end the Arab-Israeli conflict, once
and for all,” he said.
Addressing the gathering, UAE Foreign
Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan
personally thanked Netanyahu for “choosing
peace and for halting the annexation of
Palestinian territories.”
