As the specific antidote has not been found yet for COVID-19, people have to keep immune system functioning to optimum level, because this can help people stay healthy. This can also give people strength to combat coronavirus attack. According to experts, proper hand- washing practice, maintaining good nutrition, remaining physically active, prayers, managing stress and adequate sleep are vital for boosting the immune system. According to World Health Organisation, people have to eat a healthy and nutritious diet which will help their immune system work properly, the immune system relies on steady supply of nutrients to do its job; so, filling up the plate with immune-fillip nutrients is one of the best ways to keep healthy. In order to bolster the immune system, people have to take food rich with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and vegetables and fruits. This is an effective way to strengthen the immune system. An adult person has to drink at least eight glasses of water a day as the human body is made of about 75 percent of water. It is imperative to keep hydrated properly and it is advised by experts to drink lukewarm water. People should consume vitamin C, D, and iron. All types of vegetable, including carrot, pumpkins and green chili should be taken. Banana, watermelon and apple are good sources of iron. One must eat protein- rich foods like fish, meat and egg regularly to strengthen immune system.
