309 people are in home– quarantine in Narsingdi

Our Correspondent NARSINGDI, Mar 25: About 4623 people have returned home in Narsingdi from different countries in the last two months but among them only 309 were sent to home quarantine. The district administration has formed committee to find out the overseas returnees and collected a list of the overseas returnees in six upazilas of the district. Deputy Commissioner of the district Syeda Farhana Kawnine who also heads the coronavirus prevention committee said the numbers of people who have returned home from abroad in the last two months but there were only 309 people in home quarantine. She said committee have been formed district, upazilas level and also union and ward level with the members of union parishads. Necessary legal action will be taken if any one disobeys the rules of home quarantine. Civil Surgeon Dr Ibrahim Titon said they have prepared five beds at different hospitals including district general hospital. Separate 100 bed isolation unit was opened at Belabo upazila Health complex with the presence of three doctors, three nurses, three ward boy and three sweepers. Ambulance and nurses have been kept ready to make care of coronavirus patients. People have been advice frequent hand wash as a protective measure against coronavirus.
