Govt to implode under weight of its failures: Moudud

News Report BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed said the government will implode under to weight of its failures. He said this at a programme organised by the Swadhinata Forum, commemorating BNP leader and freedom fighter Sadeque Hossain Khoka at the National Press Club on Friday. Khoka, a valiant freedom fighter, who had long been suffering from cancer, died at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York on Monday last. In another programme, Moudud said it is the failure of the BNP leaders and activists that they could not force the government to release Khaleda from jail. "We've failed to free Khaleda Zia as she has been in jail for around one year and nine months." He said their chairperson's health condition has worsened, but she is not getting bail from the court due to the government's 'political influence'. Stating that it will not be possible to have Khaleda freed from jail through the legal process, Moudud urged the party leaders and activists to get ready to wage a strong movement to ensure the fall of the current government.
