Mariner Youngs' emerges unbeaten champions

Dhaka Mariner Youngs' Club clinched the Cute Women's Handball League title with all-win record beating their neighbor Arambagh Krira Sangha by 33-30 goals in the last league match at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city on Wednesday, reports UNB. The winners were trailing by 17-19 goals in the first half. Sornima Jeswal scored 10 goals for the champions. In the day's other match, Madaripur Handball Training Centre finished runners-up beating lowly Quantum Foundation by 81-23 goals after dominating the first half by 39-10 goals at the same venue. Menika contributed 37 goals for the winners. On completion of the eight round league basis matches, Dhaka Mariner Youngs' Club emerged unbeaten champions securing full 24 points, Madaripur Handball Training Centre finished runners-up bagging 21 points while Arambagh KS became 3rd in the nine-team league securing 18 points President of Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul was the chief guest at the day's closing function and later he distributed the prizes. Chairman of the league sponsor Mousumi Industries Ltd (Cute) Kazi Razibuddin Ahmed Chapol and BHF general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor were also present on the occasion.
