Mosque built by DIU opens

News Report The central mosque built by Daffodil International University (DIU) was inaugurated on its permanent campus on Thursday. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, chairman of the board of trustees of DIU, inaugurated the three-storey architecturally beautiful mosque, says a press release. Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, vice-chancellor, presided over the programme followed by a seminar on 'Duties in Ramadan'. Dr. Manzur-E-Elahi, Ph.D. in Islamic Shariah, Islamic University of Madina and associate professor, Deptt. of Islamic Studies, National University, Gazipur was present at the seminar as the chief guest and keynote speaker. The programme was also attended by Prof. Mostafa Kamal, dean of the permanent campus, Prof. Dr. Golam Mawola Choudhury, controller of the examination, and Emran Hossain, director (administration). A total of 1000 people will be ableto perform namaj at a time in the mosque. There is an individual arrangement for women in the 1st floor of the mosque.
