Polling materials sent to all districts

News Report The Election Commission (EC) has sent the election materials, including nomination papers, to all districts. The electoral instruments include nomination papers, security books, code of conduct, symbolic posters and various forms. Election Commission Assistant Secretary Syed Golam Rashed said the election materials reached the district election offices across the country on Thursday morning. Earlier, representatives of district election officers received the election materials from the BG Press, he said. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda announced the schedule for the 11th parliamentary elections on Thursday evening, fixing December 23 as the voting day. As per the rules, any candidate can get his nomination papers after the announcement of the schedule. A total of 39 registered political parties will get the opportunity to participate in the upcoming national election. A BSS report adds: The main opposition party in parliament, Jatiya Party, will distribute its nomination papers among the aspirants from November 11 (Sunday) for the upcoming general election. The aspirants will have to collect the nomination papers from Imanuels Convention Center in city's Gulshan from 10.00 am on November 11, said a press release signed by party chairman's Press and Political Secretary Sunil Shuva Roy on Thursday. From November 12 to 14, the nominations papers will be distributed from Jatiya Party Chairman's office in Banani between 10 am and 5 pm, the release said, adding the forms will have to be submitted by November 15.
