JU, Chinese university sign MoU

SAVAR, Jan 18: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed Thursday between Jahangirnagar University (JU) and University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) with a view to enhancing bilateral education and research, reports BSS. JU Treasurer Professor Sheikh Monzurul Huq and Director of Archeology department of USTC Professor Jin Zhengyaw signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutes at a function at the council room of administrative building on the campus here, said a JU press release. Under the MoU, students of JU Archeology department will get opportunity for higher education and research in the Chinese university. JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam, Associate professors of USTC Archeology department Anchuan Fan and Gong Li, JU Pro-VC (administration) Professor Amir Hussain, former JU VC Professor Shariff Enamul Kabir, Arts and Humanities Faculty Dean Professor Mozammel Haque, Archeology department Chairman Professor Bulbul Ahmed and professors of the department Sufi Mostafizur Rahman and Mokammel H Bhuyan, among others, were present at the function.
