FHF launches new project

The launching ceremony of The Fred Hollows Foundation’s new project “Empowering Female Garment Workers through uptake of Eye Care Services” was held at a city hotel on Tuesday. This project will improve the vision of garment workers of 15 garment factories in Dhaka and Chittagong division. The project is jointly funded by ANCP and The Fred Hollows Foundation, says a press release. Professor Dr. A.H.M. Enayet Hussain, additional director general, DGHS; IAPB Chairperson, Bangladesh Chapter; Dr. Khaleda Islam, director of Primary Health Care & Programme Manager, NNHP & IMCI, Directorate General of Health Services; Dr. Rahim B. Talukdar, advisor, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), BRAC University; Nahil Imam, programme manager, Australian High Commission, and Zareen Khair, Ph. D, country manager, The Fred Hollows Foundation, and representatives from several garment factories were present at the launching ceremony.
