ACC arrests one for graft

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday arrested a graft suspect in two cases filed for swindling money from IFIC Bank, reports UNB. ACC assistant director Al Mamun of Noakhali Zila office arrested Md Rahmat Ullah of Begumganj from his village in the afternoon, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB. On Tuesday last, the ACC filed two cases against six people, including Rahmat, with Begumganj Police Station for allegedly swindling out Tk 75 lakh from IFIC Bank showing fake documents. Immediately after filling the cases, the ACC also arrested three graft suspects in this connection.
