Bangladesh will take on tournament favorite India in their crucial second Pool A match of 10th Men's Asia Cup Hockey scheduled to be held today (Friday) at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city, reports BSS. The match kicks off at 5.30 pm. The boys in red and green face a Herculean task as they will have to India tomorrow to remain in the championship race after a 0-7 goal defeat against Pakistan in their first match of the tournament yesterday. On the other hand, India got off to a flying start in the tournament as they dump Japan by 5-1 goals to move to the second round. Prior to the match against India, Bangladesh head coach Mahbub Harun talking to the pressmen on Thursday said they had failed to play against Pakistan as per their plan as they boys committed some silly mistakes. Undoubtedly India is a very strong side and we want to start with India as fresh and will have to implement the techniques on the ground... we have to give our best against India, said Harun. India coach Sjoerd Mrjine said they want to move match by match. Though Bangladesh lost by a big margin against Pakistan but they have ability to fight back. "We are not taking Bangladesh lightly and determined to keep our winning spree intact", he added.
