Ansar-VDP becomes driving force for dev

RANGPUR, April 21: Members of Ansar-VDP, the country's largest voluntary organisation, has become the driving force in accelerating socio-economic uplift side by side establishing peace in the society, reports BSS. The opinion came at a concluding ceremony of the 21-day fundamental training, including arms, arranged for 80 Ansar-VDP members at District Training Centre of the volunteer organisation in Mahiganj area of the city on Thursday, reports BSS. The training course was arranged for Ansar-VDP members of the 18-35 year age group under its Training Programme to turn them into efficient professionals in building a prosperous Bangladesh free from poverty, hunger and social crimes. Deputy Director and District Commandant of Ansar-VDP Md Abdus Samad attended the ceremony as the chief guest with Sadar Upazila Ansar-VDP Officer Golzar Hossain in the chair. Kawnia Upazila Ansar-VDP Officer Saiful Islam, Upazila Trainer Md Moniruzzaman, trainee members of the volunteer organisation, internal and external technical trainers and resource persons were present. The speakers said there was no alternative to adequate professional training for enhancing skill and expertise for anyone to achieve success in professional as well as personal life for accelerating national development. The chief guest said that Ansar-VDP members were contributing to build congenial atmosphere for rural uplift through rendering sincere services, creating public awareness side by side with curbing social crimes and curses. He called upon the participants to properly utilise the knowledge, expertise and skill they acquired from the training course in achieving professional excellence and self-reliance to lead better life side by side with serving the nation with patriotic zeal.
