CSCC members urged to work unitedly for building modern city

RANGPUR, Mar 14: Members of the ‘Civil Society Coordination Committee (CSCC)’ at its regular meeting here recently stressed on ensuring sincere cooperation of all concerned for securing smooth uplift in this city, reports BSS. They made the call in the meeting organised by Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) at its conference room with Mayor of Rangpur Alhaj Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu in the chair. The City Governance Project of the LGED extended cooperation in arranging the meeting for smoothly running the development activities of the city corporation involving the City Councilors and civil society members. Members of the CSCC, all City Councilors, representatives from the civil society and professional groups attended the meeting. Executive Director of Prime Sonic Group Professor Dr Akkas Ali Sarker, Director of Rangpur Chamber Partho Bose, Superintending Engineer of RpCC Emdad Hossain, its Executive Engineer Azam Ali, among others, addressed it. Rangpur City Mayor Jhantu called upon the CSCC members to work unitedly for building an eco-friendly, modern and beautiful Rangpur city with eye-catching looks and having excellent communication networks and other civic facilities. Chief Executive Officer of RpCC Akhter Hossain Azad elaborately narrating the goals and objectives of the meeting and role of the civil society members in ensuring smooth implementation of the massive ongoing development works in the city. The speakers sought cooperation of the civil society members in running administrative, development, service delivery and other activities for ensuring transparency in providing best services and smooth development of the city.
