No obstacle can impede dev work of govt: Inu

CHITTAGONG, March 20: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Monday said that no obstacle can impede the development works of the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hsina, reports BSS. "Sheikh Hasina loves the people of the country and a peaceful Bangladesh free from militancy will be built by her strong leadership and efficiency", Inu said while addressing as the chief guest a seminar on "Utilization of Digital Technology for Pro-people Development" here on Monday. The Institute of Engineers Bangladesh arranged the seminar on the occasion of its 57th convention here. The information minister said the whole world has been advancing by dint of the information- technology, which has overtaken both time and distance. "Use of information- technology should be made compulsory in every sector to reduce corruption and ensure good governance," he said. "Bangladesh has now become self-reliant, earning praise from all corners of the world because of the strong leadership of Sheikh Hasina", the minister said adding that now the country is implementing mega projects like Padma Bridge without any external help of the World Bank. Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) chairman Engineer Shahjahan Mahmud and engineer Kabir Ahmed Bhuiyan, among others, spoke at the seminar.
