Shamim Osman urges govt officials

Abdur Rahman NARAYANGANJ, Mar 20: The corrupt officials will face action if the development of Narayanganj is hampered. Narayanganj-4 MP AKM Shamim Osman said the public representatives and the government officials will jointly work to boost up the development of the district and removes problems of the people. If any government officials fail to perform their duties properly stern action will be taken against them. Shamim Osman told this while he was speaking at the monthly meeting of Narayanganj District Development Coordination Committee held recently in the city. He said for the welfare of the people a number of development works were done including eviction of Tanbazar, building link road and stadium. “Now the key problem we are facing is drug dealing. To root out this menace all of us should join hands irrespective of party affiliations,” he said. “Our society, our country and our next generation must be saved from the onslaught of drug,” he said. Presiding over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narayanganj Rabbi Mia, the meeting was attended, among others, by Deputy Director of LGED Ali Akbar, Additional DC (Overall) Jashim Haider, Additional SP Md Sharfuddin, Hospital Super Nitish Kanti Devnath, Sadar UNO Tasnim Jebin Binte Sheikh, Bandar UZ UNO Mousumi Habib, Sadar UZ Chairman Advocate Abul Kalam Azad Biswas, Rupganj UZ Chairman Md Shahzahan, District Cultural Officer Syeda Shahida Begum, DD of Islamic Foundation Mostafizur Rahman and district Fishery Officer Morzina Begum.
